The 'Taskforce' is a group of highly trained specialist officers with the ability to deploy to a wide variety of incidents. Within Taskforce, you will have the chance to receive training in TSG (Territorial Support Group), CBRN (Chemical Biological Radioactive & Nuclear), Marine Policing, Dog Support, NPAS, Drone, as well as gaining the ability to use a taser and become a Public Order Level 1 trained officer to support front line policing across London 24/7.
Taskforce officers are also the primary unit that executes arrest and search warrants, utilising training such as Method of Entry & Rapid Entry, which gives them the ability to take control of high risk offenders in enclosed or small spaces.
Met Operations 8 (MO8) is a key division within the Metropolitan Police, the division plays a crucial role in enforcing traffic legislation, conducting roadside checks, and responding to road traffic collisions. Officers within MO8 are highly skilled drivers holding Advanced and TPAC driver tickets.
